7-Day Burkina Faso Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Ouagadougou

• Buses: You can use intercity coaches from Ouagadougou to Bobo-Dioulasso for a more affordable option and better availability.

Day 5: Explore the Historic Bobo-Dioulasso

• Begin your fifth day of the trip exploring Sya, the city’s historic neighbourhood.
• See the popular Grand Mosque of Bobo-Dioulasso from the designated permitted areas.
• Explore the Sénoufo Cultural Centre to learn about Sénoufo traditions, history and cultural objects.

• Visit the Grand Marché de Bobo-Dioulasso for fabrics, local crafts, food and everyday goods. 
• Arrange any evening music performance through your hotel, if available, and return to your room early for the next day’s adventure.

Day 6: Banfora and Its Natural Landscapes

• Leave for Banfora early in a private car.
• Visit the Karfiguéla Waterfalls to spend some time amid nature.
• Head to the Domes of Fabédougou, a group of naturally formed sandstone formations.
• Return to your hotel before dark and stay overnight in Bobo-Dioulasso.
